Welcome to Probation Drug Test, from Lab Testing Solutions. Before you order, confirm your required test, deadline, reporting instructions, and observation requirement with your probation office. Follow your office’s instructions for the order and payment. Your authorization or barcode is for your test. It does not make a collection appointment. Choose a facility in the network shown on your order. Appointments are strongly recommended for probation testing. Observed collection requires an appointment: confirm that the facility offers the service and book before your deadline. Bring valid government-issued photo identification, your own barcode or authorization, and your program instructions. Tell the collector about required observation before collection begins. Follow the collector’s directions throughout your visit, and ask when anything is unclear. If the order, facility, or instructions do not match your requirements, contact Lab Testing Solutions and your probation office before proceeding.

At the collection facility, check in with valid government-issued photo identification, your own barcode or authorization, and your program instructions. Show the collector your instructions and remind them about required observation before collection begins. Follow the collector’s procedures from start to finish. Secure your belongings, wash your hands, and complete each collection step only as the collector directs. Ask the collector if you do not understand a direction. If the facility cannot provide the service your program requires, or the order does not match your instructions or deadline, contact Lab Testing Solutions and your probation office promptly before proceeding. Remember, a barcode is not an appointment. Appointments are strongly recommended for probation testing and required for observed collections. Arrange the required service before your testing deadline. After collection, follow your program’s instructions for results and reporting. Processing varies by test and program; a specific turnaround time is not guaranteed.
A clear handoff at check-in.

If observation is required, tell the collector before collection begins—even if you already mentioned it when booking.
Follow the collector’s directions throughout the visit. Ask before proceeding if anything is unclear.
More about observed collection →Four steps to prepare.
Your office, your order, and the collection site provide the instructions for your specific test. Keep them with you as you work through these steps.
1Check your instructions
Confirm the test, deadline, approved location, and any observation requirement with your probation office.
2Order and plan your visit
Use your office page and the lab network on your order. Appointments are strongly recommended. Observed collections require an appointment and a site that confirms the service. A barcode is an authorization, not an appointment.
3Check in with what you need
Bring valid government-issued photo ID, your own barcode, and testing instructions. Remind the collector about required observation before collection starts.
4Follow the collector’s directions
Follow the site’s procedures and ask if anything is unclear. If the site cannot meet your requirements, contact LTS and your probation office promptly.
Plan around your testing deadline. If your order is unclear, or the site cannot provide the required service in time, contact Lab Testing Solutions and your probation office. An appointment does not extend your deadline.
